"Christmas Festival of Lights"
J Iverson Riddle

Throughout December / Dusk-thru-10:00 PM

The annual Christmas Lights at JIRDC are a community tradition for the residents of JIRDC and the people of Burke County and the surrounding areas. The lights come on the evening following the annual parade and are lit each night until New Years' Day. This page is a place for you to share your fun and photos and find updates and information about the lights.

Our character displays are the focal point of our decorations. Each is hand-crafted by JIRDC staff, residents, and community volunteers. New displays are added and older displays are refurbished each year. For the 2017 season, we have added 3 new scenes chosen by children in our community who won last year’s “Count the Dalmatians Contest”. Be on the lookout for Shopkins, Chipmunks & Chipettes, and the Butterfly Tree. Also new for this year are Motorcycle Santa & Mrs. Claus, the Conductor, a very special Rooster, and a Grinch and Cindy Lou Who picture opportunity.

Please remember that all of our displays are funded by the donations we receive.
