The Foothills Comedy Festival is bringing the best comedians to the Northwestern Carolina area. Morganton Improv and The Old Rock School have combined this year to bring the best in Improv, Stand-up, and Comedic Acting. This year's show will be August 31st at the historic Old Rock School in Valdese, North Carolina.

FOUR SEPARATE EVENTS - ONE GREAT LOCATION

  • 4:00PM: Butcher Stories
    One man show with over thirty characters, for anyone who has ever worked in retail, or just been inline with other customers and questioned humanity.

  • 5:30PM: C.H.A.M.P.S.
    CHAMPS is improv comedy at it’s most insane. Comedians Henry Riggs, Andy Livengood, and Matt Perry will take an audience suggestion and spin it into a fast paced spontaneous show filled with absurdity.

    Featuring larger than life character and ridiculous situations ; CHAMPS shows will have audiences in stitches! If you like your improv comedy unpredictable, CHAMPS is the show for you.

  • 7:00PM: Morganton Improv
    If you like Whose Line Is It style shortform games, you will love local favs Morganton Improv. We take your suggestions and energy and channel it back at you in hilarious situations made up right in front of your eyes. 100% improvised in the moment with love.

    The group has performed at Brown Mountain Bottleworks, the Nook Tavern, and the Historic Morganton Festival. The group is also the host of the festival, bringing Comedy to the Foothills.

  • 8:30PM: Krass & Groce
    Two Great Comedians who just happen to have the last names Krass and Groce. What they actually are, is two of the best standups on the East Coast.

    Lauren Krass: Originally from Cha
    rleston, SC, Lauren Hope Krass performs nationwide for Comedy Festivals, Colleges and Clubs. In NYC, you can catch her at clubs such as Stand Up NY, New York Comedy Club and QED among many others. She recently took home 1st Place from the 2018 She Devil Comedy Festival in NYC. Her festival credits include The Women in Comedy Festival, The She Devil Comedy Festival, Cinder Block Comedy Festival and Charleston Comedy Festival. She has also been a featured storyteller on Kevin Allisons RISK!

    Jason Groce:
    Gross was voted by the Charleston City Paper as Charlestons Best Comedian. He has opened for renowned comedians like Colin Quinn, Michael Ian Black, Todd Barry, and Tig Notaro. Jason is one of the best alternative comics in the business today.
