The Marty Burns Experience
Old Rock School / Valdese
Saturday, September 14th @ 7:30 PM

Burke County native Marty Burns has been entertaining country music audiences for more than 30 years. As a member of a musical family, Marty learned to play the guitar at an early age, and many local residents remember his popular band, Marty Burns and Southern Rain, that was a mainstay of area fairs, festivals, and clubs during the 90s.

For the past 20 years, he has lived in Nashville, where he turned his love of guitars into a successful career with the Epiphone Guitar Company. His responsibilities as Director of Supply Chain and Quality Control include overseeing the worldwide network of Epiphone factories, distribution centers, and proprietary manufacturing facilities as well as the company’s state-of-the art headquarters in Nashville. He takes tremendous pride in his role in helping design and produce quality Epiphone instruments. Yet such a demanding job has not kept Marty from continuing to play and sing. In fact, he has performed in major night clubs throughout the United States and abroad and has served as the opening act for several superstars including Kenny Chesney, The Dixie Chicks, Wade Hayes, Joe Diffie, The Bellamy Brothers, Rhett Akins, and Black Hawk. It is his love of performing and his love for country music that has brought him back home to Burke to share his talents with us.

Ticket Price: $12 in advance / $15 at the door
